1 month - arrived in New York Resumé

Good morning lovely Germany! Please excuse that I now only write a report, but my time is really tight with here. For spelling - Or grammar mistakes I am not responsible! And all indications are without a gun!
There I was, on 26 August 2010 I landed after about eight hours from New York to Portland. I was lucky I was allowed to fly with another exchange student, and therefore it was not so boring. Because in Denver we had 4 hours stay cheer airport. When we arrived in Portland I saw a family with balloons and a sign in the distance from the hand. I'm great what a great reception! Nope, the reception was for the other exchange student. There I was, a 17-year-old boy 8000km away from his home at an airport in a city which I have not heard of before. Let `s Drum, after half an hour of nervous and depart at the airport took pity on me and my family joined me in her arms. And yes, my first impression was "oh my god" (or as the Americans like to say: "oh my gosh"). My host father had of course his best clothes for me just 1 week before their bunkers to make it look on the first day Schnicke. Camouflage jacket, trousers with suspenders. My host mother is like a typical American woman. Dick and loving. Mix way home we made a stop in known of them. In an old garage. No, I was not tired. I'm not 3 clock in the morning and I got up to 6 hours time difference once again got up 3 above. Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeein. What is `s. The next day we went to school and have chosen my subjects. My first impression of your school? CLASS! everything I've always dreamed of. Great school, basketball hall, swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness room (is all in school) does great football bleachers (for 5000 people!), 2 football fields, soccer fields, 3 tennis courts, 2 baseball fields.

I think you can imagine how great the school is. My chosen subjects are: math, weight lifting, English, design, history, video communications. More on that later. The day after that my host father with me to the Ape Caves "started up. That was very impressive I must say. It was a 2-kilometer-long (of course) resulting tunnel (by mountain rivers). In Germany, the tunnel would never get the license in there to allow tourists. But that's another topic. Anyway, we are then equipped with a flashlight inside climbed into the cave. And when I climb into mine, then that is absolutely mean it. Holy Crap. Because people can die! It was really dangerous. The whole tunnel was littered with huge boulders that you first had to climb over. After 2 hours we were back class in the fresh air and I must say, that's all. Then we took the car of Mt Hellen ascended to 2200 meters and were great on a viewing platform. You could see very far and the whole country was zerrottet, because the volcano has erupted 20 years ago or so. The next day we went to a Car Show in Kelso. There were so cool tuned cars!

The following weekend we went to the guest gefahren.Dort aunt in Seattle, I'm with my gastdad built a bridge over a stream and we visited the largest Waterfall in Washington.

Sonst gibt es eigendlich nicht so viel über meine Gastfamilie zu sagen. Ausser das es hier wohl in amerika üblich ist, als Frau seine scheiß Pepsi dose zu exxen, dann hammer laut zu rülpsen und dann so hammer vornehm :" excuse me" zu sagen. Ich lebe hier mit 2 Hunden und 2 Katzen. Mit den Hunden habe ich ein Pakt gegen die Katzen geschlossen. Denn eines morgens bin ich um 4 Uhr nachts aufgewacht weil diese scheiß mistviecher vor meiner Tür saßen und jede scheiß Sekunde "gemiaut" haben. Ich bin durchgedreht! Also, Menschen und Hunde, schließt euch zusammen im Kampf gegen diese Mistviecher! Mein Tagesablauf sieht so aus. Um 6;30 klingelt der Wecker morgens. Um 7;20 steig ich in den GELBEN Schulbus ( ich liebe ihn ) und um 8 Uhr fängt die Schule an. Als erstes habe ich Mathe und es ist sooooooooooo einfach. Oh man, ich fühle mich als wäre ich ein Genie hier. Man kann es nicht mit den Unterricht in Deutschland vergleichen! Beispiel: Gleichung: 4x+3=y Aufgabe: Zeichne den Graphen! UND DAS IN DER 12. KLASSE!! Oh man, es ist so geil. Alle sitzen da rätseln ne halbe Stunde wie das geht und ich bin immer nach 2min fertig und lache sie alle aus. Danach habe ich Gewichtheben. Ich finde das klasse, das man "gezwungen" ist jeden Tag Sport zu machen, denn sonst muss man jeden Tag immer erst seinen inneren Schweinehund überwinden. So, also ihr könnt euch ja denn vorstellen wie ich aussehe wenn ich 1 Jahr lang jeden Tag gewichtheben mache. In the English literature, I feel as if I had English in Germany. In my first test I had 10 points and was 7-class midfielder and that was on a theme of American history. I then SSR, which is a subject where we should be studying 30 minutes alone with either homework or just sleep. This is followed by lunch.

And I find cool, it's just as I had imagined. The rich kids get a 5 burgers and 3 pieces of pizza and Ökofreaks to get her salad every day. Yesterday in our lunch break was a "Staringcontest" performed on stage. There could log on and join in all. Then we all sat on a chair, had an opponent and had to look at each other in the eye. Who was the first to look away lost. What a cool game!

My next subject is design. There, our teacher draws something on the board and we will sign off that. As such as it was, everything easy. My penultimate subject is U.S. History. And that's the hardest subject of all. For this subject either, only the Nerdie kids busy or the exchange students (because they have to). And then it goes into the whole hour just on American politics. How do I stand to be I do not think explain.

My final subject is video Communicating. Die erste Aufgabe war das ich mich selber mit einer Kamera filme und über meine Hobbys und so spreche und es anschließend mit Movie Maker schneiden.Dann endet meine Schule um 14:30 Uhr. Anschließend habe ich dann Football Training. Ja, Football !

Das Training geht dann jeden Tag von 15 Uhr bis 18 Uhr. Und es ist wirklich hart, es ist definitv ein Männersport! Mein Körper ist nach 3 Wochen training komplett lediert. Mir tut alles weh und ich hab nur schürfwunden an meinem Körper. Meine Position ist Tackle. Ich hatte schon 3 Spiele. 2 Heim und 1 Auswärts. Heim war unsere Tribüne immer voll! Das heißt es sind 5000 Leute da! Ganz ehrlich ich fühle mich wie ein Prominenter. Because in the school before each game we have to wear shirt and tie plus, plus blazer. So that everyone at school knows I'm a football player.

And everyone is in school to me and me with full babbles: "Good luck", "beat them". Before every home game the whole school goes to the gym and takes place in the stands. Then, each football player is called einzelnt and has to go in the middle of the hall and introduce yourself.

We also have before every home game, a team dinner. Here is a picture of our football team.

Ich liebe es, IAM FAMOUS!! Das hat natürlich auch eine positive Auswirkung auf die Mädchen. Denn ich bin: 1. ein Deutscher 2. ich bin Senior (12. klasse) und 3. ich bin Footballspieler. So ist es auch kein Wunder das ich schon eine total süße Freundin gefunden habe.

Nach unserem Spiel ist dann Tanzen. Und jedes Mädchen kommt zu mir und will tanzen. Aber ich musste sie gestern alle zurückweisen, weil ich ja schon ein Mädchen habe! So, gleich kommt meine Freundin zu mir und ich koch für sie leckeres deutsches Essen. Ich werde wohl das nächste mal einen Blog verfassen nachm Homecoming! Das ist ende Oktober! Wir sehen uns!
