Christmas and New Years in One Day in America

Hello dear family and dear friends,

I could make the experience of Christmas and New Year in the USA to spend and want to show you some impressions give what I have experienced.


Christmas

This is my Gastopa.

course I wanted my host parents especially many Buying gifts for me to sincerely thank you for that, they let me live with her chaotic one years. In addition to overdo it, the Americans very happy with gifts, so I did not want to stand there with a stupid gift for everyone. After I finished my Christmas shopping, in the middle of the month, I had both 6DVD's remaining six CD's and was broke for the month. As my dear dad had sent me an oversized pack for Christmas (again many thanks duration), I had my host family also 2 garden gnomes, a Smoker, Ritter Sport Haribo and give everything that goes with it. Am. 24. December itself, was nothing. We were accustomed unsere Geschenke an diesem Tag zu bekommen. Aber ich bekam nur meine Socke an diesem Abend. Die Tradition an sich hier in Amerika ist, das man die Geschenke während der Nacht, vom 24. auf den 25. bekommt. Da dann Santa Klaus in der Nacht durch den Schornstein ins Haus klettert. Um die Geschenke dann so früh wie möglich abzufassen sind wir am 25. um 5 Uhr morgens aufgestanden um 1h runter nach Olympia zu fahren (zur Familie). Dann wurden um 7 Uhr morgens die Geschenke geöffnet. Meine Gastfamilie hat sich riesig über meine Geschenke gefreut.
Danach haben  wir noch schön gebruncht und Unterhaltungen geführt. Ich für meinen Teil, habe dann aber ein bisschen Schlaf nachgeholt. Mittags ging es dann weiter zu anderen Familienangehörigen. Geredet, ein paar Geschenke ausgetauscht, gegessen und am Abend wieder weiter zu anderen Familienangehörigen. Das gleiche Schema wie bei der 2. Alles in einem war es ein sehr schöner, aber auch ein sehr anstrengender Tag für mich. Denn ich besuchte 3 mir völlig fremden Häuser mit à 25 Leuten. Das heißt ich musste jeden der 75 Personen meine Story erzählen, wie es mir hier gefällt und wie anders Weihnachten hier in Deutschland ist usw. Meine Ausbeute (hehe) an Geschenken an diesem Tag war: 1 Tag völlig frei Ski-fahren, mit allem drum und dran, 75$ Macys Giftcard, komplette American Pie Filmreihe, Eko T-shirt, Baseball Cap. Hat sich doch gut gelohnt (hehe). Das geilste an Weihnachten ist hier aber der 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag (Which it so in America does not exist). But on 2 Christmas Day to make all the shops here and throw their goods Literally you down to nothing. Since I was sadly plain, had rankled me a bit. But I was lucky, because I ne nice Macy's Gift Card had been given. And I have gift cards maxed out completely. I have the 75 $ 4 Eko T-shirts, jeans and 6 get a Eko Marco Polo socks pair. Without this Christmas holiday all together would have cost about 170 $. And in Germany even more. This means that it has really paid off. What I like about this Christmas season here, too much love these beautifully decorated homes. Check it out at:

New Years: snowed

nice it has.

very honest, New Year's here, can not be compared to the New Year in Germany. I sat on 31 Towards evening on the computer and had somehow not been looking forward to the year. In Germany, normally I am me 1 month before, like a small child on New Year's Eve. Make plans with my friends trying to stash money to even the most fireworks haben.Aber here? anything with fireworks, no decorations, nothing. It was just sad and dreary. I had listened to 19 clock times, if I am to anything knallen höre, aber es war nichts. Das hat mich traurig gemacht und ich hatte Heimweh. Zum Glück hatten mich meine Freunde auf eine New Years Party eingeladen. Ich hatte dort sehr viel Spaß und der Abend wurde legendär. Aber ich gehe lieber nichts in detaill (hehe).

Tut mir sehr leid, aber das war es schon, mehr gibt es leider nicht zu berichten. Nach meinem Geburtstag wird noch einmal ein etwas längerer Blog folgen, da ich dann auf einen Trip nach Seattle und Leavensworth (deutsche Stadt) gehe.
